Disneyland

We went to Disneyland most of the week (Tuesday, January 19-Friday the 22nd). We stayed at the Dessert Palms hotel and walked to Disney each day. These are our pictures from Disneyland.

You have to get a picture with Mickey at Disneyland. The cover on our camera sometimes gets stuck, so that is the black you see, but at least we are all in the picture.

Alex, Ada, Amiah, Sam and Dan in front of the castle our last night at Disneyland. If you look close at our ponchos you can see they have black tape on them where we had to repair some rips. We sure were glad to have the ponchos all week long.

Universal Studios

Monday, January 18th after we saw the whale show at Sea World we headed north to Universal Studios. We had perfect timing because as we were driving we were pelted with rain on the freeway, but it all but stopped by the time we got there. I really liked Universal Studios on a rainy day because they have special maps that show you where you can get out of the rain and they even give you free hot chocolate and show a movie.

Sea World

We went to Sea World in San Diego on Sunday, January 17. Our favorite thing was the whale show "Believe". We saw it twice on Sunday and then came back on Monday to see it again. These pictures are from the Monday show. We bought Shamu ponchos so we could sit down low and be splashed by the whales.

It was cool to see the trainers swim and do tricks with the whales.

We sat right behind this platform, it was really fun to be up close.

San Diego Beach

We took a trip to Southern California. We left on Friday, January 15, 2010 after school. We drove to Primm, Nevada that night. On Saturday we drove the rest of the way to San Diego. These are pictures from Mission Beach, Saturday afternoon. We had a lot of fun playing in the sand and collecting shells.
