Isabella 15 months

Isabella is 15 months old. She has been walking for about 2 1/2 months. She loves when her brother Sam comes home from kindergarten so she has someone to follow around and paly with. She also likes to tease Sam, and wrestle with him. Isabella loves her binkie and her white knitted blankie. It is a blanket that my mom knitted for Alex, my oldest, when he was born. I usually only brought it out when one of my kids was blessed. I kept putting it away and Isabella kept getting it out again so I finally let her have it. She also loves her yellow knitted "popcorn" blanket that Aunt Mindi made for her. Isabella is starting to play with dolls, and is so cute with them, she loves them and talks cute to them. Isabella doesn't play with her toys unless you sit down with her and play too. She would rather wander the house and get into whatever she can find. She is so fun!! Thanksgiving 2009

This is Thanksgiving night. Everyone was looking at ads for shopping the next day and hanging out. It is always fun to go to grandpa and grandmas house for Thanksgiving. Isabella didn't have such a great Thanksgiving, she threw up right when they were saying the prayer. The sad thing is it didn't stop there, the next day lots of people got sick including all my kids accept Samual. Dave was lucky he had to go to work and for some reason he missed out on getting sick.

Lemonade Stand

Amiah, Daniel, Sam, and Bella had a lemonade stand in July during the summer. Alex and Dave were gone to scout camp. They made lemonade and set up a table on the corner. They hauled everything down to the corner in our green wagon. It was really hot outside. So they also set up the umbrella behind their stand and of course they needed blankies and pillows to go under the umbrella. They did really well. They had a couple of customers even. I thought it was really cute because their their customers were all teenagers. One of the teenagers came by in a truck with his dad and said they already had drinks but he gave them a handful of change anyway.

This is Bella enjoying her lemonade and cookie at the lemonade stand.

This is their cute lemonade and cookie stand. It was very fun!! They would set it up everyday of the Summer if I let them, they were lucky and talked me into dragging it out one time this summer.

Parade Floats

On Monday July 20, 2009 after going to the temple open house we headed to Sandy to the South Town Expo Center where they were having a float preview for the Day's of '47 parade on the 24th of July. We got to vote for our favorite float at the end. Alex and Sam's favorite float was this boat below. My Grandma Welker, Aunt Louise and Uncle Walt were able to meet us at the float preview because they were in town to pick up Grandma and take her back to Washington, it was fun to see them for a little bit.
The floats were amazing, it will be fun to watch the parade on tv on the 24th to see all the floats.

The theme was "Catch the vision" So this float was Catch the vision with the 1st mormon missionary (who was Samuel H. Smith). They let us take a pictureon their float. In the parade they are going to have decendents of Samuel and Hyrum Smith ride on the float.
The kids all got balloons, they were fun to play with while we were there, then we got in the hot car and we kept hearing balloons pop in the back, so they didn't last long but they were fun.

Circus continued

This is the circus continued, you should probably start with the other circus entry first then read this one.
It is very sad because the family who is always in charge of the circus is moving, she told me I could do the circus next year, but no thank you!!, I am already crazy enough without that huge undertaking. It was hard getting pictures and helping behind the scenes because Dave wasn't there, he is at scout camp with Alex.

Daniel, Sam and Isabella enjoying goodies before the circus.
At the end of the muscle man act they had barbells with helium balloons that they let go of and the balloons floated away.

Picture of Alex from last years circus, he was a clown and muscle man. He was such a good helper with the little boys both this year and last year.

Neihborhood Circus

Our neighborhood has a kids circus during the summer. All of the proceeds are used to make school supply kits. Alex was in it last year, Amiah and Sam decided to be in it this year. Daniel decided his job would be to buy and eat goodies all night while he watched the circus. It was held last night at 8pm, alot of craziness but we all survived and I think everyone had fun. Enjoy the pictures!!

Sam was a lion, he is in the camo shorts
Amiah was an elephat, is the back half of the 3rd elephant in line.

Amiah was also a caterpiller during 'The ugly bug ball' she is the head of the yellow and green caterpiller.

Sam was also a muscle man. Alex helped to choreograph the routine but he has been at scout camp all this week so he wasn't here for the circus.

Train Tour

We went to the Union Station in Ogden last week. Disney was promoting their new 3D movie "A Christmas Carol". They had a train that we toured that showed how they made the movie. It was pretty cool. After the train tour we saw a preview of the movie. 3D is really cool. The movie comes out November 6, on Alex's birthday. Jim Carey is Scrooge. Collin Firth is Scrooges nephew.
We had to wait in line for 3 hours! I'm not sure it was worth the wait but we made it.

Nibley Heritage Days 2009

Nibley Heritage Days was June 15-19th. It is always a lot of fun. This is the bike parade on Monday night.
Amiah holding Isabella, Dan and Sam in the bike trailer, Alex pulling the bike trailer

Alex with Dan and Sam, they are wearing big glasses. The kids decorated their bikes and the trailer for the parade.

One of the funnest parts of Heritage days is the children's play. Alex and Amiah were in it this year. They performed "The Goose Girl" by the Grimm Brothers. Alex was King Dimitri, one of the main characters. Amiah was a maiden. She is in a purple skirt in the back left hand corner of the above picture. I helped sew costumes for the play, I think Amiah is wearing one of the skirts I sewed.
Alex as King Dimitri with his "son" Anton.

Alex and Amiah before the play.
The kids practice the play everyday for a week and a half then perform is Thursday and Friday night. Alex managed to talk Grandma and Grandpa Orth into coming from Pocatello to watch the play, Aunt Shelly, Aunt Delain, Rachelle, Elizabeth, and Matthew also came.
After the play they always have a movie in the park. This year we saw Madagascar 2. My kids sold light sticks for a quarter. This is our third year selling them, they always have a lot of fun.
